As we approach the end of 2026, we here at North State Parent are mindful of the challenges we have collectively faced this year, and we especially admire how our local businesses have risen to meet these challenges.
We are honored to feature three Sarahs on pages 12 & 13, owners of restaurants in Chico offering delicious beverages and scrumptious fare. These women have bravely faced the odds and are operating successful businesses in difficult economic times.
In the pages of this issue, you’ll read about some other dynamic entrepreneurial women in our Mamapreneur feature. We started highlighting Mamapreneurs over 20 years ago to honor moms who are negotiating the unique challenges of blending family with business ownership. We encourage all women to take care of themselves and to live the lives they want to amid the many demands placed on them.
Our fall magazine is filled with our best picks to take the family for a visit. Enjoy seasonal fruits, veggies, and especially pumpkins. Start a new family tradition and visit many farms this season.
We are celebrating our 33rd year of serving North State parents and families! It’s been a long and winding road these past 33 years. What a journey. Sorta like parenting! We treasure hearing from you so please let us know if we have been helpful. This gives us the boost we need! We wish you a fall filled with warm family memories.
