Welcome to our comprehensive Fall/Winter Family Resource Guide!
One of my favorite parts of publishing a resource magazine is meeting the public at the many events we attend each year. I particularly enjoy following up on your suggestions. I hear stories from schoolteachers doing exceptional work in classrooms, fun outings I had not heard about before, parenting issues people are facing and what shops and services have been valuable to parents and others who play important roles in children’s lives.
We could not publish the premier parenting magazine in the North State without your feedback. Thank you!
For the last 33 years, along with my dedicated and problem-solving team, Bob, Jenny, John, Kate, Kristen, Marc, Marilyne, Stacey and Sean, it sometimes feels like I’m constructing a big patchwork quilt, sewing all the pieces together to create a magazine that nurtures families and helps build strong communities where everyone can thrive.
We invite all businesses and agencies who want to join in this effort, to unite with us. It takes all of us to cooperatively create a healthy community.
We fill our pages with ways that you can engage in your local community. One great way to build community is to frequent our advertisers that support us in this important work. This helps create a healthy, strong community life for local children and families.
When you subscribe to our invaluable e-newsletter at northstateparent.com/newsletter, you’ll receive a beautiful email newsletter once a week with fun things to do with your family, contests, feature stories, a link to the latest North State Parent issue online, helpful parenting tips, date night suggestions and so much more!
Lastly, don’t forget our popular Family calendar – a helpful tool for knowing the fun, family-related happenings throughout the North State, many of which are free or low cost! Find this valuable resource at northstateparent.com. (Click on Calendar in the menu bar.)
With Care,
Pamela and the North State Parent team
