Crista and Jonathon Jorgensen share a love for fitness—they opened Northstate CrossFit in Redding, CA because they love watching people get healthy and fit right before their eyes! Outside the gym, they enjoy fitness activities outdoor-style, including dirt biking, hiking and snowboarding. They have a son, Jonathon (4), and a baby on the way (it’s a girl)!

Artist Mary Lake-Thompson who began her art interest as a child, created the snowman and adorning artwork on this months’ cover. Her art education stems from the University of Colorado and San Francisco Art Institute. She has been a North State resident for many years.
