California Children’s Services. Serves all counties. Helps provide necessary healthcare & services for children (birth–21yrs) with certain diseases or health problems. Connects patients with doctors & trained healthcare professionals & can help with expenses not covered by insurance. dhcs.ca.gov/services.

Wings of Eagles. Joseph Alvarez Organization for Seriously Ill Children, helping & financially assisting families with seriously ill children in Butte, Glenn, Colusa, Tehama, Sutter & Yuba Counties. Founded in memory of Joseph Alvarez, who died of a rare form of leukemia a month before his tenth birthday. Wings has helped hundreds of families that have seriously ill children with their out-of-pocket expenses, including gas, food & lodging.
