BUTTE COUNTY

Big Chico Creek Reserve; Forest Ranch. Located on the ancestral land of the Mechoopda Indian Tribe with goals to preserve & steward critical habitat & to provide a natural area for environmental research & education. Butte Creek Ecological Reserve; Forest Ranch. 93-acre site along the middle of Butte Creek. The preserve is open to public year round. 3521 14 Mile House Rd.

Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge; Willows. Offers a variety of recreational opportunities, including wildlife viewing, photography, hiking, hunting & more.
