Children’s Choir of Chico. Join a choir in Children’s Choir of Chico to learn to read and write music, sing in varied languages, and learn songs from many genres, including great art music, Broadway tunes, spirituals, patriotic songs, traditional songs, and folk music from around the world.  Medieval to modern, Bach to Gershwin – you‘ll experience it through the Children’s Choir of Chico. Early Childhood Music Division: Music experiences in the CCOC Early Childhood Division are offered for infants and parents, toddlers and parents, and pre-school age children. Training Division: Includes beginning music fundamentals and choir experiences for children in kindergarten through 3rd grade.  The active classes and rehearsals of Ready, Set, Sing and the Preparatory Choir will have your child singing and moving to music at the end of the first rehearsal! Performance Division: A more formal choir experience is offered through the Performance Division for singers in grades 4 through high school (unchanged voices), and adult women in college through retirement. In July 2015 Bel Canto (8th grade through high school) collaborated with members of Bella Voce (women) and local community singers to undertake a concert tour to Prague, Salzburg and Vienna. childrenschoirofchico.org. 850 Palmetto. Kai Music & Arts; Chico. Proud to offer quality music instruction while being affordable to all. Offers a variety of programs including one-on-one lessons, group classes, rock band, early development classes and more. Dedicated to making sure programs are tailored to suit you and/or your child’s needs. SHASTA COUNTY

RAPAC School of Music; Redding. Offers quality music education in both private and classroom settings. We offer beginning orchestral strings in our Strings I class. Advanced classes include Strings II and Chamber Ensemble. Full list of private offerings and music classes at reddingpac.com/music.

Shasta College Concert Orchestra; Redding. Students gain the opportunity to perform in a quality orchestral setting and may earn college credit prior to graduating from high school. Provides musical training and enriching musical experiences to intermediate and advanced level musicians of all ages throughout the region. An audition is required for placement.
