      THE MUSEUM AT TURTLE BAY
The Museum at Turtle Bay is where art, science, history, forestry, and horti- culture meet with permanent exhibits about our region and changing ex- hibitions from around the world. Our special Exhibitions Halls have hosted interactive, interesting displays from around the country. This spring and summer, say hello to the treasures of King Tut! These authentic replicas rep- resent the Boy King’s short, but mighty reign. On display until Sept. 5. Year round at Turtle bay you can get up-close and personal at the Visible River Aquarium, take a walk through a reproduction of the Shasta Caverns and learn about the different rock formations that make caves special. Discover more about the lives of the Wintu people that call this area home by visiting the Cedar Bark House in the center of the Museum. Learn more about the Sundial Bridge’s debut on the Sacramento River and take a walk through our Local History Gallery. The Boardwalk between the Museum and Paul Bunyan’s Forest Camp winds through a forest of cottonwoods and oaks, well above the seasonal wetland and year-round riparian habitat. Keep an eye out for some of the wild native creatures that are not part of Turtle Bay’s ani- mal family. turtlebay.org. 844 Sundial Bridge Dr. (530) 243-8850.
