A world of artistic exploration awaits families at the paint-it-yourself pottery studios at Bella Art Works in Yreka and All Fired Up in Redding. Both facilities offer ample opportunities to be creative while making memories and gifts that are one-of-a-kind.

Creative classes and fun events for the whole family
All Fired Up is a unique studio that not only offers paint-your-own pottery and kids’ canvas classes, but also has themed events, like the upcoming “Wizarding World”. Owner Felica Tortorici shared what is new at the studio. “We have new instructors for both canvas painting and the pottery wheel. We are offering more varied classes than ever before. We believe this will allow us to better serve the creative needs of our community.” The staff at All Fired Up believe that art is something that can be enjoyed at all ages, which makes it perfect for the whole family.
Felica is constantly working to level up and enhance the activities offered at the studio. She is creating a diverse clay program with her team, pouring their hearts into creating unique pieces from a wide range of molds that they’ve collected. Many of the molds are exclusive to All Fired Up and can be found nowhere else. “We enjoy awakening the inner creative spirit that people often do not even realize they possess. Nothing compares to the joy and amazement in a customer’s face when they pick up their finished piece and realize they created something amazing and beautiful,” Felicia says.
Enjoy a tasty treat and create memorable family moments
Bella Art Works pottery studio and retro soda fountain station is a destination for families and individuals alike. No reservations are necessary for a painting session. Along with painting, families can enjoy lunch or an ice cream treat. The studio glazes and fires creations, ensuring they are food-safe and ready for pickup within approximately 10 days. With a private party room and exciting birthday packages, it’s the perfect spot to celebrate. They also organize events for both adults and children, making it an ideal family-friendly experience.
“We are unique in the experience we provide,” explains owner Alya Nicholson. “We were one of the first pottery studios to also serve food. We specialize in ‘grown up’ grilled cheese sandwiches. This last April, we competed and won best melt at the Sacramento Grilled Cheese Festival with our Blackberry Bacon Brie Jalapeno Sandwich. We make our events interactive experiences with games, costumes, props and specialty snacks.”
Alya is dedicated to making a space for families to enjoy a creative, fun time together. “Our mission is to create memorable moments for everyone that comes through our door, whether it’s a fun event, teaching a technique to a walk-in painter or topping your milkshake with as many yummy things as we can.”
The facility is in the process of refurbishing its aging floor due to wear and tear. Along with this renovation, several other improvements are underway to enhance efficiency and customer service. Alya is optimistic that these interior changes will create an even more enjoyable experience for all visitors.
