Court Appointed Special Advocates Association (CASA); Redding. Serves Butte, Glenn, Shasta and Tehama counties. Sierra Nevada Connections; Serving all California counties. Non-profit, community-based family services agency that provides foster and adoption services in Chico, California. Focus is on formulating healthy, stable and loving relationships between Foster Youth and Resource Families. In addition to Foster Care services, families are also licensed and trained for potential future adoption. Butte County Adoption Services; Oroville. Facilitates adoptions of abused or neglected children in foster care when family reunification efforts fail. Requires dependency court involvement. A 10-month weekly mentorship program where foster and adopted children work on goals and develop life skills such as emotional awareness, self-regulation, anger management, healthy relationships, social cues and appropriate boundaries through Equine Assisted activities and learning (EAL). Tehama County Department of Social Services; Red Bluff. Connects children in difficult circumstances with loving foster families.
