Butte County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA). The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act requires the Butte County SELPA to seek out and serve children who are suspected of having a disability and children from birth to age 21 who may need special education services, including highly mobile (such as migrant or homeless) children with disabilities.
