10th Annual Pumpkinhead Family Bike Ride; Red Bluff. Annual fundraiser to support outdoor education and recreation programs at Whittenberg Country School, this is an all-age event. It includes five there-and- back-again routes: the 5K Seedling, 15K Jack-Be-Little, 25K Jack O’Lantern, 35K Jack Pumpkinhead and 45K Giant Pumpkin. For the not-yet-ready-for-the-road set there is
a 1/4-mile Pumpkinseed loop that includes riders on trikes and training wheels. All riders get a PFBR sports bottle, a goodie bag and candy along the way. Tickets available at

Dairyville Orchard Festival; Los Molinos. 25th Annual Dairyville Orchard Festival at Lassen View Elementary School. been a venue for fresh, delicious farm produce grown by the Brandt family and their neighbors for 23 years. In the autumn, get tree-ripened apples of several varieties, including Somerset, Granny Smith and Fuji, and find other seasonal fruits and vegetables for sale. Manton Apple Festival; Manton. One of Northern California’s premier craft and art events, featuring live entertainment, apple pie baking and eating contests. Plenty of free parking is just a short walk away. Proceeds from booth rentals and the apple festival pie booth sales help support a variety of local Manton non-profit organizations and fund scholarships to support the educational goals of Manton area students.
