Community
For the last 27 years, we have produced free publications highlighting all the good things we think you want to know about. Until recently we published monthly print magazines and have now added monthly digital magazines as well.
We also now offer e-newsletters that can remind you of weekend happenings and fun outing suggestions.
Please go to our website to sign up at northstateparent.com where you will find our (now) online community calendar section and tons of helpful resources, fun giveaways and contests, too. Help us build and maintain a healthy North State for all families by sharing our info with others concerned with the wellbeing of youth and children.
Raising children is not always easy, but we, like you, believe the years raising children should be filled with plenty of good times and enriching moments. Every childhood deserves happiness and positive memories. We cherish being able to supply you with ideas to nurture your parenting journey. We also highlight resources and focus on those who make a difference in your towns and neighborhoods. Our goal includes contributing to things that make our North State Communities healthier places to live.

Children and Youth
The joys and challenges of raising healthy and happy children are of the highest importance for the North State Parent magazine team.
We are parents, too. Our focus is on children and families, but our readers are those who care about kids—parents, grandparents, foster and adoptive parents, educators and social workers. You!
North State Parent finds out what is most important to our readers. We continue to educate ourselves so that we can share current and valuable information.
Collaboration
Working together is something we take to heart.
We strive to go the extra mile for local families and our readership. We seek out those individuals who are working hard to make a difference. We spend time at local events, creating craft activities with your children, and talking with parents and professionals to gain insight and fresh editorial ideas.
We also work to form and maintain a positive alliance with those advertisers and community partners who make our publishing existence possible. If you are a business or offer a service that you think families would want to know about and would like to explore advertising with us, let us know. Together we can support a mission that values and enriches the lives of youth, families and community!
Connection
This has been a tough year for just about everyone.
We must remember that when our children are acting out, when our relationships are challenged, connection is key.
The relationships we forge and experience with one another and with our children can have a direct effect on the wiring of a child’s brain and her capacity to have deep connections with others.
Connection is more than essential; it’s vital for healthy growth.
North State Parent acts as a guide to help those who want and need to reach out and connect with services; and to share both the joys and burdens of parenthood.
North State Parent magazine, side by side with our local resources and advertisers, is part of the village that will help you raise your child and live a rich life in California’s beautiful North State region.
