Join us for a springtime scavenger hunt at the Shasta Land Trust’s first protected property, Fenwood Ranch, where young explorers can discover the wonders of nature in a fun and interactive way.
Guided by experienced naturalists, children will wander through the oak woodlands, searching for hidden treasures like vibrant wildflowers, fascinating insects, and seasonal vernal pools teeming with life. Along the way, they’ll learn about the unique plants and animals that call this landscape home and how land conservation helps protect these natural spaces for the future.
With hands-on activities designed to engage their curiosity, kids will have the chance to observe, ask questions, and experience nature up close. This is the perfect opportunity for little adventurers to connect with the outdoors, make new discoveries, and enjoy a morning filled with exploration and excitement.
Kids snacks and beverages will also be provided.
