After more than forty years, our beloved Dr. Larry Grandy, instructor and conductor extraordinaire, is retiring at the end of this semester.

In his honor, the Symphonic Band that he conducted for so many years will present a double May concert of some of his favorites, including the Kopetz fantasy on Waltzing Matilda, Carter’s Overture for Winds, and even some arrangements of The Beatles for wind band (because how could we not?). Featuring Dr. Jeff Specht, conductor, Henry Patterson, Master of Ceremonies, and Carlos Gama, Jr., guest conductor!

Performance dates will be Friday, May 1st at 7:30pm and again on Saturday, May 2nd at 3pm in the Shasta College Theatre with tickets only $5 general admission.
