Stable Hand – Community Integration & Work Experience Program

A hands‑on ranch work experience program for adults with special needs. Participants help with barn, corral, horse, bird, and property chores in a calm, structured environment that builds confidence and real‑world skills.

Activities include barn care, stall and corral care, manure pickup, water bucket cleaning, corral safety checks, bird‑cage care, tack maintenance, and brushing horses.

Schedule: Monday through Sunday, 1 day/week for 2 hours | year-round

Participation Options

• With a Personal Assistant
• Without a Personal Assistant (Program structure is the same; support level differs.)

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in the Self‑Determination Program
• Must have a Personal Assistant present during all sessions
• Scheduling required — no drop‑ins
• A ranch tour is required before starting the program
