All elementary school, middle school, and high school students (K-12) in Shasta County are invited to submit artwork to the Shasta County American Story Art Contest offered by the Shasta County Administrative Office.

Overall winners will be selected by grade group. Prizes will be awarded and artwork will be displayed at the Shasta County Administrative Center in celebration of the 250th Anniversary of America’s independence this year. Winners will also be recognized during the June 30th Board of Supervisors meeting!

This contest is a way to celebrate patriotism, America’s independence and the freedoms associated with it, and how Shasta County has played a part in the American story. The theme for the artwork should reflect any of these ideas!

Entries must be received by the Shasta County Administrative Office at 1450 Court Street, Suite 308, by 5:00 p.m. on May 29, 2026, and each entry must be accompanied by a completed entry form.
