Join us for a class presented in collaboration with the Mount Shasta Bioregional Ecology Center as we explore the Sáttítla Highlands National Monument, located in the heart of the Medicine Lake Highlands. Designated in 2025 by President Joe Biden, this monument honors both the natural beauty and cultural significance of the region. “Sáttítla,” meaning “obsidian place” in the language of the Pit River Nation, reflects the deep Indigenous connection to the land.
