The community is invited to a special Peace Pole dedication honoring diversity and supporting peace. Guests are encouraged to wear cultural attire.

The Peace Pole shares the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in seven languages: Wintu, English, Spanish, Hebrew, Mien, Lao and Punjabi. Native speakers will present the message in each language, and Art Garcia, Wintu, will offer a Native American blessing.

Light refreshments will follow the dedication.

The project is funded by the Community Foundation of the North State and endorsed by Shasta Interfaith, Shasta County Citizens Advocating Respect, Shasta Beloved Community, the Anti-Racism Task Force and Reciprika.
