North State Symphony presents POULENC The Story of Babar, the Little Elephant (field trip performance)

  • This event has passed.

March 11 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Chico Performances Field Trips are designed for students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Each year, we welcome schools, families, homeschool groups, and organizations that support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities from throughout the North State.

Recommended age for this field trip: 5 – 12

The Story of Babar is a classic tale of a little elephant who finds his place in the world, complete with lessons of understanding and hope and an epic rise from rags to riches. In Francis Poulenc’s playful music, various instruments are used to illustrate Babar and the other characters in the story, much like Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf.
