The Mt. Shasta Farmers’ Market is a lively community tradition where families, farmers, and neighbors come together to celebrate fresh, local food. What began in 1999 with just three vendors has grown into a vibrant weekly event with over 30 local growers, makers, live music, and plenty of small-town charm.

In 2014, founders John Tannaci and Kirsten Olson partnered with the Jefferson Economic Development Institute (JEDI), a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting small businesses and entrepreneurship. Under JEDI’s guidance, the market continues to thrive while staying true to its roots—supporting local agriculture, improving access to fresh food, and connecting community through education and outreach.
