The Tehama County Museum is pleased to announce the second offering in its 2025 Lecture Series!
The subject of the presentation spent a good share of his life entertaining the North State over both radio and television, and died only recently in 2018 at the youthful age of ninety-six: Northern California’s Singing Cowboy – Moriss Taylor.
Moriss was born in 1924, served in World War II, and was a longtime salesman in the Chico area where he worked with distinction at KHSL TV and radio. Radio listeners will remember why he became recognized as the region’s singing cowboy, and some of those past listeners might be in attendance!
The presentation will be given by Rev. Brian Peterson, an energetic and dynamic former resident of Tehama County. Brian is a veteran North State educator (currently at Shasta College) and college music major (with degrees from UC Berkeley, Yale, and more) who brings a lifetime of music experience and musical training to this event.
This promises to be an interesting afternoon at the Museum!
