February Chico Advocacy Committee meeting

  • This event has passed.

February 17 @ 7:30 am - 8:30 am

You’re invited to the February Advocacy Committee meeting, where we’ll be discussing updates on the Downtown Chico Revitalization Project—an initiative focused on improving safety, connectivity, and the overall experience in our downtown core.

Over the past year, the City has gathered extensive community input through workshops, surveys, pop-ups, and stakeholder meetings as part of the downtown planning process. This sustained engagement is helping shape a revitalization approach that reflects the needs of businesses, residents, and visitors alike.

The Downtown Chico Revitalization Project aims to:

  • Improve walkability and bike access, filling gaps in pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure.
  • Enhance safety, especially along major corridors such as Main Street and Broadway.
  • Reflect community-inspired design while preserving parking and supporting downtown activity.
  • Strengthen wayfinding and the streetscape to make downtown more inviting and vibrant.

At the February meeting, we’ll explore next steps and how this may impact downtown businesses and stakeholders moving forward. Your insight and questions will help ensure the business community stays informed and engaged as the project progresses.

In-person attendance encouraged; online option here.
