Help us protect Butte County Groundwater Dependent Ecosystems (GDEs) by volunteering your time to remove trash and other harmful toxins that pollute our waters and negatively affect the plants and animals who rely on cool, clean, healthy waters to thrive!
GDEs are rapidly diminishing due to urban sprawl — and these GDEs play a critical role in supporting a wide range of species including fish, birds, mammals, and riparian vegetation. The habitat loss for local keystone species, such as Valley Oaks and Spring Run Chinook Salmon, is significant and devastating. Valley Oaks, for example, are vital to the GDE as they support over 5,000 other species through food and habitat provision.
Clean-up tools will be provided, and volunteers will receive a free unique event t-shirt!
