The Sandhill Cranes are calling; heralding the great gathering of winter birds in the northern Sacramento Valley. Join us on four days of action-packed field trips with experienced trip leaders, and more.

Event Highlights:

  • Over 55 field trips, workshops, educational exhibits, and FREE engaging activities for families
  • “Gathering of Wings” Banquet at Bell Memorial Union, Chico State University, on Saturday, January 24th
  • Kate Marianchild, Banquet keynote speaker, is an environmental educator, naturalist, and author of Secrets of the Oak Woodlands
  • “Perch, Flutter, Soar” Art Exhibit at MONCA (the Museum of Northern California Art) from January 22nd – March 15th

Additionally, Explore.org added a webcam at the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge.
