SUMMARY:Mount Shasta Farmers Market (Summer Hours)
DESCRIPTION:The Mt. Shasta Farmers’ Market is a lively community tradition where families\, farmers\, and neighbors come together to celebrate fresh\, local food. What began in 1999 with just three vendors has grown into a vibrant weekly event with over 30 local growers\, makers\, live music\, and plenty of small-town charm. \nIn 2014\, founders John Tannaci and Kirsten Olson partnered with the Jefferson Economic Development Institute (JEDI)\, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting small businesses and entrepreneurship. Under JEDI’s guidance\, the market continues to thrive while staying true to its roots—supporting local agriculture\, improving access to fresh food\, and connecting community through education and outreach. \nWhether you’re shopping for seasonal produce\, enjoying music with the kids\, or just soaking in the friendly atmosphere\, the Mt. Shasta Farmers’ Market is a perfect stop for the whole family. \nEvery Monday\nMay 18 – October 19\nMay – August from 4:30 – 7:00pm\nSeptember – October from 3:30 – 6:00pm \nLocation: E. Castle St. between N. Mt. Shasta Blvd. and Chestnut St. \nQuadruple Your WIC and Senior Cards Purchasing Power\nMeet CNIP (California Nutrition Incentive Program): When you shop with a WIC or Senior Nutrition card from an authorized farmer\, you’ll receive 4x the amount you spent in FREE vouchers.
