SUMMARY:Art Classes for Children - Summer Schedule
DESCRIPTION:*Summer classes are offered once a week\, either Wednesdays or Thursdays.  Sign up any time!  Class size is limited\, allowing individual attention. \nStudents will learn the basics of drawing and painting with an emphasis on fun. The first two weeks of a given month are focused on drawing and the later weeks on painting. Students work with various mediums\, including charcoal\, watercolor\, tempera\, colored pencils and watercolor pencils. More advanced students can work in acrylics\, pastel\, oil and collage mediums. Form\, perspective\, shading\, cartooning\, and painting methods are discussed as part of instruction. Biographies and works of master artists are also discussed during classes. \nSupplies are included for beginner and intermediate levels. There is a one-time $25 registration fee for new students. DESCRIPTION:Nature ABC’s is a time for families of children ages 0–5 to gather and enjoy an hour of fun free activities with our instructor. Join us Fridays from August 23rd through June 6th for an animal visit\, story time\, singing and dancing\, an art project\, and a nature walk in our beautiful park. This program is offered free of charge through funding from First Five Butte County. \nThis program runs on a drop-in basis and space is limited to 25 children. Online registration is not required and we recommend arriving early to guarantee a space! \nLed by: Ellen Flasch \nThis is not a drop off program and all children must be accompanied by an adult who can help them as needed.
