SUMMARY:New Clairvaux Vineyard 19th Annual Blessing of The Grapes
DESCRIPTION:This summer\, New Clairvaux Vineyard invites the public to step into a rich tradition of faith\, history\, and winemaking at the 19th Annual Blessing of the Grapes. This year’s celebration is especially meaningful as it marks 25 years since the first experimental vineyards were planted\, their St. James and Poor Souls blocks. \nA quarter-century ago\, the monks of New Clairvaux\, alongside the Sunseri winemaking family\, planted the first vines in Vina (Vy-na)\, reviving the land once farmed by California wine pioneer Peter Lassen. In 2005\, the doors to the New Clairvaux tasting room opened on a scorching summer day\, welcoming over 2\,000 enthusiastic guests—far beyond expectations. By the end of the day\, the team had sold out of their first white wine\, the 2004 St. James Block Albarino\, a testament to the excitement surrounding this sacred and historic land’s return to winemaking. Just a few years later\, New Clairvaux made a name for itself by winning its first gold medal with the 2007 Poor Souls Block Trebbiano at the 2008 San Diego International Wine Competition. \nThis year’s Blessing of the Grapes will take place at St. James Vineyard Block at the Abbey of New Clairvaux. The event opens at 9:00 AM with a Monk Market\, featuring local vendors\, followed by the ceremony at 10:30 AM\, led by Abbot Father Paul Mark Schwan\, O.C.S.O. (or just OCSO aka Order of Cistercians of Strict Observance). \nAfterward\, guests can enjoy a property-wide wine tasting experience. For a small fee\, you can purchase a commemorative wine glass and sample a variety of wines that reflect the vineyard’s deep roots. Food vendors will also be on-site\, serving up delicious eats. \nAll are welcome to join in this celebration of history\, community\, and the enduring spirit of winemaking.

You’ll get to look at dazzling dragonflies up close and connect deeply through nature awareness activities. No experience or knowledge necessary on this FREE nature walk. Discover festive décor\, rich history\, and the warm spirit of tradition at Patrick Ranch Museum. \nThe Patrick Ranch Museum is dedicated to enhancing people’s understanding and appreciation of our community’s rich agricultural heritage through the presentation of its collection\, rotating exhibits\, and interpretive displays. \nThe Museum is home to the 1877 Glenwood Farmhouse\, Visitor Center\, and Gift Shop\, as well as multiple barns\, a priceless collection of artifacts\, and is located on a beautiful 28 acres between Chico and Durham. The interior of the Glenwood Farmhouse is furnished with Hester Patrick’s furniture\, antiques and artifacts. The Museum continues to evolve as we bring more of Hester Patrick’s collection to public view and receive additional exhibits and artifacts. \nThe Patrick Ranch Museum was bequeathed to the Far West Heritage Association by the last ranch owner\, Hester Grimm Patrick\, and her husband William Garrison Patrick. They championed the promotion\, documentation\, preservation\, and appreciation of its history. \nPatrick Ranch Museum opened to the public in 2010 and now offers a variety of volunteer and educational programs.

When Detroit turns to fellow gambler Sky Masterson for cash to support the game\, he in turn must pursue Sarah Brown\, a straightlaced missionary; numerous musical high jinks ensue. DESCRIPTION:Come see the show that brought some joy and laughter back to Paradise\, Ca. after the devastating Camp Fire! \nIn a miracle amidst the almost total devastation of the Camp Fire on November 8\, 2018\, our beloved little playhouse still stood.  By way of celebration in 2019\, we brought a very special installment of our popular “Radioland” shows to kick off the season and as the first show back in our beloved theatre after the fire.  Opening day was on Valentine’s Day 2019\, and we affectionately called the show\, “A Love Letter to Paradise.” \nWe gathered talented friends to perform this show under Jerry Miller’s masterful creative mind\, and in the process we were able to being the healing of so many broken hearts with the music\, joy\, laughs\, and the promise of a future for the Paradise community. \nWe are thrilled to share this very special show again to celebrate our 50th Anniversary!
