Auditions open on August 24 and 25 at 6:00 p.m. at the Shasta College Theatre! Both community members and students are encouraged to participate. Those auditioning should prepare a one-minute contemporary comedic monologue. \nArcadia is set in a time very close to our own\, when a group of scholars struggles to decipher an historical puzzle involving a hermit\, a poet\, and a scandalous affair. What follows is a complex\, life-affirming comedy from one of the all-time great playwrights. \nThe production will be directed by Dr. Gregory Thorson and will feature set design by David Fraser\, lighting design by Tim Dye\, and costumes by Mat McDonald. DESCRIPTION:The Music of the Beatles \nNot an impersonation act\, this 5-person band of multi-instrumentalist/vocalists from Broadway\, Lincoln Center\, and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra create a fresh\, vibrant\, and one-of-a-kind concert experience that celebrates ten years of music from the Fab Four. Why five performers when The Beatles were obviously a famous foursome? It takes the skills (and instruments) of all five members of HERE COMES THE SUN to authentically recreate the deep textures and variations of these musically sophisticated soundscapes! Singing “She Loves You” to “Sgt. Pepper’s” and “Tax Man” to Let It Be\,” this authentic group foregoes the wigs and costumes to focus on what’s most important: the MUSIC! \nBox office opens at 6:15pm.
