SUMMARY:The Shasta College Symphonic Band Presents "Larry's Favorites!"
DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the legacy of retiring faculty member\, Dr. Larry Grandy\, with some of his favorite musical pieces!\nAfter more than forty years\, our beloved Dr. Larry Grandy\, instructor and conductor extraordinaire\, is retiring at the end of this semester. \n\nIn his honor\, the Symphonic Band that he conducted for so many years will present a double May concert of some of his favorites\, including the Kopetz fantasy on Waltzing Matilda\, Carter’s Overture for Winds\, and even some arrangements of The Beatles for wind band (because how could we not?). Featuring Dr. Jeff Specht\, conductor\, Henry Patterson\, Master of Ceremonies\, and Carlos Gama\, Jr.\, guest conductor! \n\nPerformance dates will be Friday\, May 1st at 7:30pm and again on Saturday\, May 2nd at 3pm in the Shasta College Theatre with tickets only $5 general admission. \n\nFor more information\, visit shastacollege.edu/ArtsEvents or contact the Theatre Box Office at (530) 242-7573.
