DESCRIPTION:An egg-citing twist on a traditional egg hunt at the Redding Sports Park\, perfect for ages 1-14! Come dressed in neon\, all the glow you can wear\, and bring your flashlight as you hunt eggs at dusk.\n\nDon’t let the Spring weather get ya down; this event is rain or shine!\n\nGates open at 7:00 pm with fun games\, booths\, and vendors.\nAt 7:45 pm our 1-5 egg hunt begins followed by our egg hunt for youth 6 and up at 8:15 pm.\nWe are going later to ensure that the fields are dark enough for the eggs to glow.\n\nThis event fills up fast\, don’t wait to get your ticket! Stay safe from scams! Official tickets are only sold through Redding Recreation.\n\nHow does it work?\n– The cost is $9.00 per child for non-residents and $8.00 per child for Redding residents.\n– NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR. ALL TICKETS SHOULD BE PRE-PURCHASED AT REDDINGRECREATION.ORG\n– Parents do not need to register for entry but each child attending must be registered! Each registered child includes wristbands for two parents or guardians per age group; additional guests will require a General Admission wristband ($2.00\, purchased online)\n– Youth are divided into age groups and spread out over the park to allow plenty of space for hunting.\n– Look for the sign with your youth’s age. Please do not go onto the fields until the hunt has begun.\n– Youth ages 1-5 will hunt with a parent (1 please)\, don’t forget your flashlight.\n– Eggs are filled with age-appropriate treats.\n– Please bring a basket or bag to use.\n– Peter Rabbit will make a guest appearance!\n– In case of rain\, don’t forget those rain boots and jackets!\n– Please pick up your child’s tickets between March 23rd – March 27th at City Hall Parks and Recreation Department (777 Cypress Ave\, Redding\, 2nd floor)\n-If you forget to pick up your ticket at City Hall\, we will bring the remaining tickets to the event\, but to ease wait times\, please pick them up beforehand.

At the Shasta College Farm in Buildings 4000 and 4500. \n\nThe workshop will feature three sessions of classes that last about 40 minutes each\, and participants will be able to select topics for each session. There is a $5 charge to cover materials and seeds.\n\n\nWorkshop topics:• Gardening with Children Part 2• From Seeds to Success• Demystifying Compost• Friend or Foe – Garden Bugs• Starting Plants from Stem and Leaf Cuttings \n\n\nBring a soil sample! There will be on-site soil analysis for soil samples. House Plants 101 will feature a cuttings swap.
