DESCRIPTION:Maker’s Muse Returns to Chico for its Second Annual Art\, Music\, Comedy\, and Dance Festival on March 20th & 21st! \nGet ready to celebrate the unique and vibrant maker culture of Chico! The highly anticipated second annual Maker’s Muse Festival is set to take over Orange Street from 5th to 7th Streets on March 21st. This free\, all-ages\, public event will shut down the street to showcase a spectacular display of local talent and creativity. \nThe festival kicks off with a special Friday Night Concert from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM\, followed by the main Street Fair on Saturday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. \nMaker’s Muse is dedicated to showcasing the incredible talent within the Chico community. This year’s event features an exciting lineup\, including: \n\nArts & Entertainment: 20 live bands\, 10 comedians\, and a live art showcase. Attendees can also witness fire and aerial dancers and interact with unique art installations.\nMural Contest: A competition celebrating large-scale visual art where you can vote for your favorite.\nLocal Vendors: Over 60 local vendors offering a wide variety of goods.\nFamily Fun: A dedicated kids’ activity block\, a whole block Cherry to Orange on 6th St of Kids activities\, will feature 10 bounce houses\, face painting\, cotton candy\, and crafts\, plus a fun photo booth for all ages.\n\nCome experience the dedication of local musicians and the passion of Chico’s thriving maker community at 603 Orange Street.

This dark fairy tale\, filled with bayou magic and colorful characters\, invites us to look beyond appearances in an unforgettable journey. \nAbout the creators:\nLisa Collins has spent decades doing the work: acting\, directing\, writing\, and producing across the Bay Area and Northern California. She and her husband and co-writer Bill Collins spent years building Keyhole Mystery Theatre\, writing and performing original musical comedy and interactive murder mysteries throughout Northern California. \nBehind the Mask is their most ambitious project yet: a full-length musical they developed together\, with original compositions by Bill Reuss. It is\, in every sense\, a labor of love brought to life by people who live and create in this community.
