DESCRIPTION:Since 2013\, Gateway Gardens has grown into a local “biodiversity hotspot.” Our immersive native plant exhibits highlight California’s diverse flora and habitats\, demonstrate drought-tolerant systems in one of the warmest spots on campus\, provide resources for local wildlife\, and serve as a study-ground for university and high school student researchers. Our newly remodeled Edible Garden showcases small-scale food-growing strategies. Discover nearly 200 species thriving in Gateway Gardens\, a gem and refuge in the community! \nRegular Garden hours are Thursday-Saturday 11am – 4pm \nVisit Gateway Gardens – Gateway Science Museum – Chico State for details on all of the exhibits held at Gateway Gardens!

Nestled in the Redwood trees of Wildlife Woods\, the Butterfly House is the coolest place in the park!\n\nOpen: a half hour after Museum opens through closing.\nFree for Members | Included with Admission\n\nRelease an emerging butterfly! When chrysalis are available\, $4 per person\n\nFeed a Butterfly $2 per feeding stick

SUMMARY:Baltie's Birds at Turtle Bay
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a “flock” of birds by Richard Baltazar “Baltie” Quintana\, a local artist who specializes in creating lifelike sculptures from wire\, paper mache\, and leather. His work won First Prize in the 2021 West Coast Biennial. He was profiled in Enjoy Magazine in 2019 and his work\, once a hobby and now a business\, has been featured in Enjoy the Store and is part of Turtle Bay’s art collection.\n  \nLocated in Paul Bunyan’s Forest Camp Mill Building Gallery
