TAB members help plan and set up events\, make and donate items to benefit the community\, work on skills and creativity\, and participate in projects\, all while gaining volunteer hours. \nTAB meets every Tuesday from 6 to 7:30pm at the Redding Library. DESCRIPTION:We are excited to share the news of Turtle Bay Museum’s latest exhibit\, Famous Artists Student Art Show: A Walk in Nature\, on display now through April 30\, 2026.\n\nEnjoy an exhibition of works created by kindergarten through 8th grade students in the Famous Artists Portfolio art education program. This art show is a celebration of the diverse perspectives\, boundless imagination\, and artistic talent of students from around the area.\n\n\nThe exhibition highlights the diverse artistic talents of local students\n\n\n145 pieces are on display from TK through 8th grade student artists\n\n\nArtwork was inspired by lessons available in Turtle Bay’s Famous Artists Portfolio Program\, a free art resource for local students and community members\n\n\nThe Famous Artists Portfolio Program is led by volunteers at Turtle Bay and includes over 70 portfolios\n\n\nThose interested in learning more about the Famous Artists Portfolio program can attend a spring orientation on March 4 from 4-5pm at Zubie’s Classroom in the Turtle Bay Museum. Using industry-standard software—FL Studio and Logic Pro—students will learn to create their own beats\, tracks\, and remixes in a variety of styles including hip-hop\, EDM\, house\, trap\, and dubstep. \nThrough guided projects and creative challenges\, participants will explore the full music production process: composing with virtual instruments\, arranging and layering beats\, sampling\, sound design\, mixing\, and basic mastering. DESCRIPTION:Inspire School of Arts & Sciences has paired up with Chico Area Recreation & Park District\, to bring the community a wide variety of fun\, interactive\, spring and summer camps for students! Join us March 28 for Foley Sound Design with instructor Erin Hall. \n\n\nAre you interested in sound design? Join us for a one day spring workshop where students will explore the art of foley. In this hands-on session\, middle to high school students will dive into the process of creating and recording sound effects for film\, video\, and other media in post-production to enhance audio quality. Working in groups of 2–3\, students will collaborate to produce foley audio for a pre-created short film. Throughout the workshop\, participants will learn foundational sound design concepts\, microphone handling\, and audio capturing and editing techniques guided by experienced filmmakers\, teachers\, and student mentors. Using a variety of microphones and recording devices\, students will record and edit sounds in sync with on-screen action. Everything from footsteps and clothing rustle\, to environmental ambience. By the end of the workshop\, each team will have created and integrated at least 25–30 unique Foley sound effects into a completed short film\, gaining hands-on experience in the art and science of sound for storytelling. \nRegister today!

DESCRIPTION:Inspire School of Arts & Sciences has paired up with Chico Area Recreation & Park District\, to bring the community a wide variety of fun\, interactive\, spring and summer camps for students! Join us on March 29 for Musical Theatre Intensive camp. \nJoin us for an amazing day of young artists gathering to grow their voice\, acting\, and dance skills and celebrate their unique selves. Students will study proper musical theatre voice technique from credentialed and certified vocal instructors\, observe master classes led by musical theatre professionals\, and explore musical theater styles! Solo and ensemble techniques will be learned. The camp will end with students performing in a concert featuring their newly learned techniques and songs.
