SUMMARY:Introduction to the Power of Positive Childhood Experiences
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an introduction to the science behind positive experiences and their health and safety outcomes. \nWhat if the Positive in childhood has a lasting protective and healing impact similar to the lasting harmful impact of trauma? The resulting science of health & safety outcomes from positive experiences is ongoing and includes strong evidence that Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) have a lifelong protective and healing effect that can mitigate the negative effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). The goal of this training will be to introduce the broader community to the PCE approach and why it is being implemented in Shasta County. \nLight breakfast provided for in-person attendees. \nThis free training is open to Shasta County providers serving children ages 0-5 and their families.
