Through storytelling\, art\, movement\, and trauma-informed strategies\, participants will gain practical tools to create safe\, connected environments where young people feel seen\, valued\, and supported. \nLed by Rebecca “Maggie” Magdalena Escobedo-Steele\, this training explores how belonging\, identity\, and cultural connection can protect youth and strengthen communities. \nWhat You’ll Learn:\n– Recognizing early warning signs and vulnerabilities\n– Strengthening cultural identity as a prevention tool\n– Building strong community support systems\n– Empowering youth with self-advocacy and relationship skills\n– Creating trauma-informed\, culturally responsive spaces \n*Lunch is provided. \nHosted by Child Abuse Prevention Council of Siskiyou County and community partners.
