SUMMARY:Beginning Ballet
DESCRIPTION:Watch your child discover the beauty of ballet at Kinetics! \nAges 5-8: We use creative imagery to teach beginning ballet concepts. At this level\, student begin to learn the structure of a traditional ballet class. Exercises are aimed at conditioning the body for dance and begin to focus on turnout\, the feet\, the abdominal muscles\, the back and stretches to gain flexibility. Students begin to learn the ballet vocabulary. \nAges 7-12: Classes are taught in an inclusive\, caring environment with an increased emphasis on technique and longer combinations. Students practice positions of feet and arms\, turns travelling steps and leaps. Dancers are also given opportunities for creative dance and independent choreography.
