DESCRIPTION:Step back in time and celebrate the season with a holiday tour of the historic Glenwood House! Discover festive décor\, rich history\, and the warm spirit of tradition at Patrick Ranch Museum. \nThe Patrick Ranch Museum is dedicated to enhancing people’s understanding and appreciation of our community’s rich agricultural heritage through the presentation of its collection\, rotating exhibits\, and interpretive displays. \nThe Museum is home to the 1877 Glenwood Farmhouse\, Visitor Center\, and Gift Shop\, as well as multiple barns\, a priceless collection of artifacts\, and is located on a beautiful 28 acres between Chico and Durham. The interior of the Glenwood Farmhouse is furnished with Hester Patrick’s furniture\, antiques and artifacts. The Museum continues to evolve as we bring more of Hester Patrick’s collection to public view and receive additional exhibits and artifacts. \nThe Patrick Ranch Museum was bequeathed to the Far West Heritage Association by the last ranch owner\, Hester Grimm Patrick\, and her husband William Garrison Patrick. They championed the promotion\, documentation\, preservation\, and appreciation of its history. \nPatrick Ranch Museum opened to the public in 2010 and now offers a variety of volunteer and educational programs.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at our 37th Annual festival!  Hosted by the Rotary Club of Mt. Shasta\, this event is held at beautiful Shastice Park with spectacular views of Mt. Shasta and plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the scenery. Along with our famous and hugely popular blackberry pie sales\, music offerings\, and children’s games\, food and craft vendors will join us in the expanded space Shastice Park provides. \nThe heart of the Mt. Shasta Blackberry Music Festival is baked into our blackberry pies. Rotarians\, Interact students\, and community volunteers hand-craft and bake more than 400 pies the day before the festival. \n​Local bands liven up our event\, whether you are listening or dancing to familiar and original tunes. \nThe Mt. Shasta Blackberry Festival is a family-friendly event.  We love to provide free children’s games to help the young people in your life enjoy the festival as much as you (and we) do!  All games are offered to age appropriate group levels between Noon and 5:30 PM: sack races\, 3 legged sack races\, and water balloon toss. \n* And remember to swing by the North State Parent Magazine booth for FREE hands-on art activities for children ages 2 and up!
