3 Regional Ice-Skating Rinks
Weekends in winter are a perfect time to get adventurous and create special memories with family and friends. Take your family to enjoy the experience of outdoor ice skating this winter season. There’s nothing quite like the peaceful feeling of gliding across the ice.
Lace-up those skates and discover three of our ice-skating rinks in the region.
1 – Paradise Ice Rink
The Paradise Ice Rink at the Terry Ash Recreation Center in Paradise, CA, has a short season. A 20-minute drive from Chico, this facility offers fun for the whole family! They offer group ice skating lessons on Saturday mornings and host a Friday Teen Night. Admission is $12. Need skates? No problem! Skate rental is included in the admission price. Paradise Ice Rink offers special packages and family rates, too. Visit their website for more information, or call (805) 879-1550. The last day to skate is January 20, 2020.
2 – Siskiyou Ice Rink
Siskiyou Ice Rink is located in the beautiful town of Mount Shasta, CA. This is a rink that has something special to offer! Has anyone in your family wanted to learn how to play hockey? Well, you can learn how at the Siskiyou Ice Rink! They offer weekday hockey lessons for different experience levels. Monday through Thursday
People of all ages can gain more experience and learn new skills to boost their confidence on the ice. Check out Siskiyou’s regular ice skating lessons, private or in a group setting. Visit their website to check the ice rink’s regular schedule. For $12, you’ll get admission to that day’s skate sessions as well as rental skates. Call the rink at (530) 926-1715 for times and more information. February 17, 2020, is the last day of the season for the Siskiyou Ice Rink.
3 – Ashland Ice Rink
The Ashland Rotary Centennial Ice Rink is in Ashland, Oregon. They offer ice skates for the whole family with sizes ranging from a toddler’s size nine to a men’s size 15. Touted as one of the most magical places in Ashland, this ice rink is the perfect destination for North State Parent families who live closer to the Oregon border. The rink is located at 95 Winburn Way. To learn more, visit their website or call (541) 488-9189. The last day to skate at the Ashland rink is February 17, 2020.
