Dania Shelton serves the community and future generations as a homebirth midwife, helping people fully bloom into parenting. She built her practice over 13 years while mothering her own 5 children. Now a grandmother, she continues to offer a full scope of care for pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Her services include customized education on labor, birth, breastfeeding and early parenting.
Dania’s children and her husband have always been supportive of her midwifery. “The greatest thing for me has been to be the midwife for my grandchildren,” she shares. “I hope that because of the support families receive, they discover a strength that allows them to emerge confident and ready to face all the continued challenges of parenting and life.” Dania encourages parents to embrace pregnancy, learning as much as they can. “Trust your instincts and no one loves your baby more than you do.”

Its a beautiful thing to not only lead, but be a part of.”
Mikalyn Zacharias, Doula & Photographer
In Business Since 2021
Born and raised in the North State, Mikalyn’s passion for birth began at the birth of her daughter in 2013. She shares the electricity and magic of birth with women through her photography and services as a doula. Her mission is to encourage women to feel confident and powerful during their birthing experience while capturing precious moments with her birth photography.
“My doula told me while pregnant that, ‘you’re the one delivering your baby, not me, not the midwife, not your husband, YOU!’ That always stuck with me because, as a doula, it taught me that I’m simply the quiet confidence in the room, the guiding light needed to help in a difficult moment and the rest is up to her.”
As an entrepreneur and mother, Mikalyn is grateful that her children and husband support her mission. The three moons in her name represent her children and her husband as well as the cycle of womanhood.
Jessica Sylvia enjoys helping her customers find memorable gifts for their loved ones that will be passed down for generations. Dandy Lions Children’s Shop is the only children’s specialty store in Tehema county. “There is nothing like my store,” Jessica says with joy as she explains her passion for the historic building and the creativity and care she put into designing a memorable experience. Donna Bringenberg
In Business Since 2022
Donna Bringenberg has spent more than 40 years in Mount Shasta helping women as a traditional midwife, doula and birth assistant; and has also worked with children with sensory processing issues and autism spectrum disorder. After personally experiencing the benefits of the Harmonic Egg, she was moved to bring this innovative energy healing force to Mt. Shasta.
The Harmonic Egg® is a patented technology that delivers the frequencies of light, sound, and color to the body in a resonant chamber. The chamber was designed in a dodecahedron shape, and it incorporates Tesla mathematics, sacred geometry and the Golden Mean Ratio within its construction. Sessions can help relieve stress and calm down hypersensitivities, restoring balance to the mind, body and spirit.
Donna offers a sliding scale and says, “During these difficult times on the planet where people are having crises of many different kinds, the Harmonic Egg is an available tool to bring us back to center so that we can make good decisions for ourselves and those we love.”

Heirus Midwifery
Catherine DeVeau, LM, CPM
In Business Since 2021
Catherine DeVeau is changing the world by helping provide healthy foundations for life in assisting families through intentional pregnancy, birth, and parenting. As a licensed home birth midwife she also offers craniosacral fascial therapy (CFT), a bodywork modality that releases fascial strain and trauma. CFT can help alleviate issues in infants such as: oral tethered ties, colic, spit up, torticollis, constipation, indigestion and more.
Catherine was motivated by personal experience to add CFT to her offerings as she saw radical results in her own body. “The legacy/vision I want to leave behind is that we can change the course of history by choosing to be intentional with the processes of life. We can choose to partner with our bodies and our babies as they grow and really we can circumvent trauma before it has the power to ‘stick’ and affect generations to come.”
Life Light Pregnancy Help Center is a woman-led, Christian nonprofit that supports women in a pregnancy crisis by offering a comprehensive overview of options and resources free of judgment. Services at the Center are geared for women who are in an unplanned pregnancy or need help during a pregnancy and parenting. The Center does not provide any health or medical services including birth control or emergency contraceptives, prenatal care, and STI/STD testing. It does not provide nor refer to abortion services or providers.
Center volunteers consist of experienced parents and grandparents who share a wealth of knowledge and wisdom with the women and parents who seek help. They offer mentoring and teach classes in pregnancy and parenting, mental health and life skills such as managing a home and developing healthy relationships. Women who attend the classes earn points which can be exchanged for products in the baby boutique.
According to Executive Director Cindy Herzog, “Life is sacred at any stage and we have pregnancy options. We are a safe place to explore your pregnancy choices.”
