Want to learn how to select, purchase and prepare healthy foods on a limited budget? Opt for Healthy Living can help! Teens, adults and families are invited to enroll in a fun hands-on Get Cookin’ class series – improve your cooking skills by preparing and enjoying tasty and nutritious low-cost meals.
Get Cookin’ classes are two hours long, one night a week for six weeks. They are offered in Chico, Oroville and Thermalito on an ongoing basis year-round as classes fill. The program is free, and participants leave each class with a bag containing ingredients from that day’s recipe, so the dish can be recreated quickly at home!
Contact Opt for Healthy Living at (530) 345-0678 for more information and to register.
