Anna Hemstalk, of Hemstalk Canine Companions, is an inspirational voice in her chosen field. She is an American Kennel Club evaluator and trainer, committed to the positive influence she knows service dogs can provide, works locally with the VA and the Autism Society, and raises service and companion Labrador Retrievers. She also provides families with the training they need to have their own pets become certified as “canine good citizens (CGC).”
Anna describes a CGC as a dog who is:
- well-behaved
- good in public
- good with other dogs
- an integral part of their human family
She attests, “I feel an excellent family project is to earn a Canine Good Citizen title with a family dog or purchase a puppy to raise as a S.T.A.R. and continue titles for Canine Good Citizen.” Anna offers classes online, private classes, and groups and provides evaluations for groups, clubs or families.
