Local businesses can help young people discover their potential while adding eager workers to their teams. Shasta WorkAbility is seeking businesses in Redding, Anderson, Cottonwood, Shasta Lake, Burney and Fall River to provide work experiences for local students ages 16–22 with IEPs or 504 Plans.

Participating students can receive up to 120 hours of hands-on work experience, giving them opportunities to develop job skills, build confidence and make meaningful connections with local employers.

There is no cost to participating businesses. Shasta WorkAbility pays the student’s wages and handles all hiring documentation. Restaurants, retail stores, offices, farms, service businesses and other employers are encouraged to participate.
