Commūne Dance Company Presents Songs of the Soul – A Dance Performance

Join us on April 18 & 19 at the Shasta College Theater in Redding for Songs of the Soul, a powerful and visually compelling dance production presented by Commūne Dance Company.

The first half features Winds of Change, a choreographic work by director Lisa Broere, premiered at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Fall 2025 and presented in Redding for the first time. This piece reflects seasons of transition—when paths shift, and we are invited into resilience, growth, and restored strength.

The second half, Songs of the Soul, is a vibrant collection of new works shaped by lived experiences – personal stories of thankfulness for what has been overcome, together forming a moving tapestry of human expression. Be surprised by a dynamic range of styles, including tap and jazz, as you experience the energy, musicality, and heart of movement.

With a cast of 22 dancers, stunning theatrical design, and powerful storytelling, this is Commūne’s largest production of the year—an artistic and engaging dance experience for audiences of all backgrounds. Don’t miss this special annual production in Redding.
