RFA Adult Sewing classes not only teach you a valuable skill, they foster creativity and self-expression. The small class size allows for an interactive social environment, enhancing community connections and support. Students not only learn from our talented teacher but share ideas and experiences with each other.
Beginning projects include: Pillow Case & Patchwork Zipper Bag. No experience is required.
Intermediate and independent projects: Once a student has acquired the necessary skills and confidence to work semi-independently, the instructor will work in cooperation with each student to create projects tailored to their interest and increasing ability
This is a progressive project class that allows students to match their projects with their developing skills based on teacher/student evaluation.
Skills Learned:
Fabrics for class projects, machines, threads, tools provided. Patterns are not included.
We have a curated selection of donated fabrics, perfect for students eager to explore their creativity. While our designs and fabric types are limited, we prioritize eco-friendly sourcing by utilizing donated materials, dead stock, and project scraps. (We gladly accept donations to cover the cost of preparing these fabrics for class use.) Students wishing to bring their own fabrics are welcome to do so.
For any student directed special project, we will provide a supply list for anything not on hand.
