Arts councils and commissions are dedicated to supporting, developing and coordinating the arts, helping to promote a diversity of cultural experiences locally.

City of Chico Arts Commission. Works to maintain Chico as an arts & culture destination through a public art program, arts funding, & arts promotion & marketing. Shasta County Arts Council (SCAC); Redding. Supports arts education & events for all ages in Shasta County. Projects include the SCAC Gallery & Art Center, an annual Silent Film Festival, art-related workshops, classes & events, annual arts fair & more. http://www.shastaartscouncil.org. Tehama County Arts Council; Red Bluff. Promotes the arts in Tehama County with annual events including a student art contest, performance opportunities for children with the Missoula Children’s Theatre, an ArtWalk, & year-round art classes at the Green Room Community Art Studio. http://www.tehamaarts.org.
