Whether you are man, woman or child, Meek’s Lumber and Hardware is for you. From quality products and resources for homeowners and contractors to special events for women to Kids’ Day workshops, Meeks offers something for everyone.

Stores in Anderson, Chico, Redding and Yreka make Meek’s a strong presence in our region, and their personalized approach leaves no doubt that the Meek’s motto, “From foundation to finish,” is what they want to help you achieve. In addition to row after row of home improvement merchandise and building supplies, each store features a cabinet design center and has an interior designer on staff. The Redding and Chico locations additionally offer a door shop … Meek’s is ready to make your personal home improvement dreams a reality!

Meek Jr., son of the original founder, ventured to Redding from Missouri and opened the first West Coast store, C. Meek’s Lumber, on South Market Street. Chairman of the Board Bill Meek, and his daughter, Carrie Meek-Cuneo, president of the Western Division, are actively involved in the day-to-day operations; along with corporate leadership, they work hard to facilitate their family-oriented approach to business.

Sean Hudson has been branch manager of the Twin View Redding location for the past seven years. A strong desire to help others and the opportunity to serve homeowners and contractors with their varied project needs were his primary motivations for joining the Meeks team.

Jessica McGraw, branch manager of the Chico store, says, “One of the compelling things about our business style is that the business is based on relationships with customers, vendors and employees. That’s reflected in the decisions we make, the items we carry, and our community involvement.”

One way Meek’s reaches out to the community is by hosting in-store events like Kids’ Days, where attendees get to make a project from wood and other materials. The next Kids’ Day takes place May 9 in the Chico, Redding and Anderson stores where kids ages 4-12 can make something for mom. Ladies’ Nights at Meek’s offer hands-on projects, and customer appreciation events celebrate everyone.

Meek’s is participating in the Soroptimist Home and Garden Show at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds in Chico on March 22 & 23, and the Redding Home & Garden Show at the Redding Civic Auditorium on March 14 & 15. Stop by to say hello and find about the special deals Meek’s is offering home show visitors.

If there is something you need or want to try, head for your nearest Meek’s. “Bring us your questions,” says Hudson. “We make sure our employees are trained so they can walk you through an entire project. Give us the chance to show how we can help you.”
